Shane Foster brings extensive experience and strategic insight to his role as Assistant Director of the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) for Western Pennsylvania. Since joining the Gannon University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in 2017, Shane has supported more than 1,000 clients across a wide range of industries, helping entrepreneurs overcome challenges, access funding, and build thriving businesses.

With a strong background in financial management and business strategy, Shane has helped small businesses across Pennsylvania secure over $31 million in capital and successfully launch more than 100 new ventures. His results-driven approach and deep understanding of both startup and growth-stage companies make him a trusted resource for business owners statewide.

Before his current role, Shane founded YellowLetterService.com, a Meadville-based marketing and consultancy firm focused on helping small businesses increase sales and strengthen their brand through innovative direct-response and digital marketing strategies. In 2017, he successfully exited the company through a sale, gaining firsthand experience in building, scaling, and selling a business.

Shane holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh and brings a unique blend of analytical expertise and entrepreneurial insight to every engagement—ensuring the businesses he supports are positioned for long-term success.
