John Ondik

Senior Business Consultant and Instructor

John Ondik is a senior business consultant at the Temple Small Business Development Center.

He is the owner of the Ondik Group, a management consulting firm that has been advising businesses and government on strategy and operations since 2003, and former co-owner and CEO of Pathway Technologies, an engineering services firm in the sustainable energy space. He is a program director at Wharton Entrepreneurship’s Snider Center Venture Consulting, where he advises student and alumni-led start-up venture. John is a frequent lecturer, judge and mentor in university business plan competitions and local business incubators and has served on several company advisory boards. He has been featured in Bloomberg News online and the Wharton Alumni magazine and is a frequent guest on Wharton Sirius radio. John served as the Director of US Operations for SRS Energy, a solar roofing technology start-up that raised $8 million; as Vice President of Military Services for Aramark, where he started and led a new business venturen focused the military market; as National Director of Purchasing for KPMG, a position he created; and as the first Director of Marketing and Business Development for Arthur Andersen’s Philadelphia Business Consulting practice. Previously, he was a consulting manager at both KPMG and Arthur Andersen; an MBA consultant at the Wharton Small Business Development Center (where he was honored by the Bernard Foundation as the Best Consultant in a Small Business Development Center), and an Executive in Residence at The Science Center (where he was the 2005 Executive in Residence of the Year). John began his career with the US Navy and is retired from the US Navy Supply Corps Reserve.

He holds an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School and a BS in Business Administration from Villanova University.

John lives in Havertown PA with his wife and Villanova sweetheart, Liz. They have 3 children: John, Christopher, and Alexandra. They also have a daughter-in-law Anna, and 3 wonderful grandchildren – Aurora, Isabelle and Little John
