Cookie Cookie Ice Cream
The Duquesne University SBDC started working with Addison Fox and Connie Feda to start up their business, Cookie Cookie Ice Cream. On September 10, 2022, Cookie Cookie Ice Cream opened their doors to the public. Addison and Connie also had the innovative idea of working with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation to employ part-time young adults with special needs.
Marbull’s Restaurant & Tavern
David Katekovich always dreamed of owning a restaurant and tavern. David reached out to Duquesne University SBDC because he wanted to buy Marbull’s Restaurant & Tavern. He worked with his SBDC consultant to write a business plan and obtain funding needed to buy the business.
“The SBDC did a fantastic job start to finish,” said David. “It was a great experience. It’s a great program for people like me who have never been in business before. I would never be where I am now without the assistance of the SBDC.”
ABC Home Child Care
With the help of her business consultant, Alexandria was able to open the doors to her child-care home in the Pittsburgh area. ABC Home provides an eco-friendly, natural and safe child development in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
