Starting a premium chauffeur business in rural Pennsylvania presented both a vision and a challenge for Jamie Beachel, founder of Diamond Chauffeurs. With a focus on executive-level clients, Jamie envisioned a service built on reliability, professionalism, and elevated customer experience.

Jamie connected with the Bucknell University SBDC in July 2024, seeking assistance in navigating the complex requirements of starting a business. Chief among these was securing certification from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, a critical hurdle that required extensive documentation, revisions, and perseverance. The SBDC provided guidance throughout the process, helping Jamie finalize her application materials and strategize next steps to keep the business launch on track.

With the certification secured, Jamie turned to the SBDC for help refining her business plan, exploring financing options, and preparing for operational readiness. The support didn’t stop there: she also received digital marketing guidance, help launching a Google Business Profile, and assistance recovering from a social media suspension. A connection with professional web design services, along with the SBDC’s referral to the resources of the Entrepreneur Assistance Clinic at Penn State Law, helped her finalize key assets to support a successful launch.

Diamond Chauffeurs officially opened in spring 2025. Jamie has remained engaged through SBDC events and networking opportunities, particularly the Center’s training workshops on business innovation and growth. Jamie’s journey reflects the determination it takes to build something new—and the power of community partnerships in helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into impact.
