Gannon University SBDC Announces Keynote Speakers for 2014 Women in Leadership Development Conference

Gannon University’s Small Business Development Center will be hosting its 7th Annual WILD (Women in Leadership Development) Conference this year on Wednesday, April 30 in Erie.

Founded in 2008 by the Gannon University SBDC, WILD is a grassroots organization that recognizes, supports, and promotes women in business through the concept of women helping women. The mission of the conference is to empower professional and enterprising women with knowledge, energy, and passion that is achieved by encouraging networking, providing leadership opportunities, and creating support systems.  

The morning keynote speech will be delivered by Grace Killelea, the CEO and Founder of Half Sky Leadership. After 35 years of various jobs in talent management, human resources, retail, and programming, Grace retired to re-launch her practice as a keynote speaker and consultant. Killelea’s Half The Sky leadership program is geared towards women in leadership roles who want to strengthen their leadership skills, business expertise, and executive presence.

The evening keynote speaker is Jayne Huston, the director of Seton Hill University’s E-Magnify program. For nearly 20 years, Huston has been responsible for the strategic vision and administrative oversight of E-Magnify, a company that provides resource support to women entrepreneurs through business counseling, education and training, and mentoring programs and services.

The Ambassador Banquet and Conference Center in Erie will host the WILD conference.
