Advanced Physical and Aquatic Therapy

Ryan Mullins and Josh Green were physical therapists who dreamed of opening up their own physical therapy clinic. With the grand opening of their own clinic on March 12, 2010 in Springfield, PA that dream became a reality.

Their recently opened, state of the art facility is equipped with cutting edge physical therapy equipment including a 12ft x 7ft heated pool to relieve back, neck, shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, and any other pain you may have. At the facility the owners and treating therapists use manual therapy techniques to improve joint motion and decrease pain.

When Ryan and Josh came to the Widener Small Business Development Center (SBDC) they were physical therapists working for a large practice. However, they knew that one day they wanted to own their own practice together but needed some business help to turn this dream into a reality. So, with the help of Glenn McAllister and Andrew Rymarczuk they were able to develop a comprehensive business plan. The SBDC also assisted Ryan and Josh in putting together a loan package.

With the business plan and the loan package complete Ryan and Josh were able to obtain a SBA loan and a line of credit. They used this money along with some of their own capital to open up Advance Physical and Aquatic Therapy on Baltimore Pike in Springfield, PA.

Since their grand opening in March business has been great for Ryan and Josh. They now have over 75 patients a week! As they said, "The SBDC was instrumental in assisting us to formulate and organize our business plan, allowing us to obtain a small bank loan. Overall the SBDC was extremely helpful throughout the process."

The SBDC is confident that Ryan and Josh will continue to grow their business and we wish them the best luck in their future as their business continues to grow.
