Raised in a family business, Lisa Hall Zielinski has always had a passion for leadership and entrepreneurship. As Director of The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center, Lisa ensures small businesses in eight Northeastern Pennsylvania counties have access to the guidance and support they need to overcome challenges and find success.
 

Lisa continues to grow her passion for leadership through active involvement in the local community and by serving as an adjunct leadership and management instructor. A graduate of Duquesne University (MS) and Keystone College (BS, AA), she is experienced in the areas of training and consulting, fundraising, and non-profit management.
 

Lisa has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards; most recently she was named one of the Northeast PA Business Journal’s 2013 Top 25 Women in Business. Involved in initiatives within Pennsylvania and across the nation, she serves on the boards of various organizations, as well as America’s SBDC Professional Development & Education Conference Committee.

An active member of the community, Francene possess 25+ years in communications with a knowledge of advertising planning, social media marketing, visual design, communications for higher education, retail/merchandising trends and manufacturing. Francene recently rejoined the The University of Scranton at the Small Business Development Center’s Small Business Internship Initiative, a newly launched collaborative program created to help small businesses learn about, attract, and host high-value internships.
 

A graduate of Marywood University, and raised in a family business, Francene believes the retention and expansion of existing small businesses is extremely important to the economic vitality of our region.

Gretchen rejoined The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center in 2013. As a Business Consultant, she focuses on serving Bradford, Tioga, and Lackawanna counties. At the SBDC, Gretchen also provides direct coordination for the Small Business Internship Initiative Pilot Program, linking Lackawanna County small businesses and local college students with internship experiences. Gretchen is also part of the Marcellus Shale Team of the Pennsylvania SBDC system.

Leigh Magnotta’s career with The University of Scranton SBDC started in 2015. As a business consultant, Leigh covers Monroe county and parts of Lackawanna County. She attended the University of Scranton and received a BS is International Business with a concentration in Asian Studies and a minor in finance.

Leigh began her career at the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce’s small business affiliate, MetroAction Inc., as a Small Business Services Coordinator. She was responsible for providing micro-loans to small businesses throughout northeast Pennsylvania. During her time at MetroAction, Leigh assisted start-up and existing small businesses understand the loan process and worked hand-in-hand with loan applicants and borrowers to provide the support needed to grow their businesses.

For the SBDC, Leigh covers Pocono Outreach service area in Monroe County.

With more than 20 years of experience, The University of Scranton SBDC’s Consultant Manager Donna Simpson has worked with every kind of small business imaginable. Her vast and varied experience is of great benefit to her current clients.
 

Donna’s areas of expertise include accounting and bookkeeping, business planning and financial analysis, continuity planning and exporting. In addition, her lifelong commitment to women’s issues makes her the Center’s women entrepreneurship expert. She leads StartUP, a 6-week program for women planning to open their own businesses. Donna also authors a feature article in the Northeast PA Business Journal spotlighting a women entrepreneur each month.

Keith Yurgosky’s career with the The University of Scranton SBDC started in 1994. Both Keith’s BS in Accounting and his MBA in Marketing are from the University of Scranton, where he has taught topics from Principals of Management to Business Strategy as an adjunct professor for the Kania School of Management.
 

At the SBDC, Keith holds dual roles as both a consultant and trainer. As a consultant he works with both existing and start up small businesses, but specializes in internet marketing, social media marketing, and business disruption & continuity planning. Keith often gives advice on international trade, business planning and market research.
 

Keith’s other responsibilities are the creation and maintenance of the web pages for The University of Scranton SBDC and The KSOM Women’s Entrepreneurship Center, as well as the SBDC’s blog, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google +, Pinterest and YouTube accounts. Keith covers the Wyoming & Susquehanna County Outreach Programs for the SBDC, and serves on the loan review committee for the Northern Tier Regional Planning & Development Commission.
