8th Annual U.S. Global Growth Conference to Educate Exporters on U.S. Export Controls & Compliance

Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center's (SBDC) Center for Global Competitiveness will host its 8th Annual Global Growth Conference on Tuesday May 17 in Latrobe, PA.  This conference is designed to address market development, financial risk associated with international business transactions, and to ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. Export Controls and Regulations.

Business owners and managers are encouraged to attend the Global Growth Conference to increase their knowledge of the business of exporting. Every year companies that think they are in compliance with the U.S. Export Controls and Regulations, and come under scrutiny to find themselves in a position they do not expect. This conference will teach you how to implement and maintain a successful export management program at your company.
Specialized sessions on export controls will include “Export Compliance Basics,” “Commodity Jurisdiction & Classification in the post ECR Environment,” “Preparing & Submitting Export Licenses,” “Hold that license! A license exception may be available,” “Tailoring Your Compliance manual & Program,” “Oh No! How Do We Avoid Common Mishaps & Pitfalls?” “Are You Releasing Technology,” “AES Monitoring: ACE Portal” “DFAR Network Penetration Notification Requirements” will conclude the conference.

The conference will take place in the Saint Vincent College Fred M. Rogers Center from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 17. Continental breakfast, lunch and conference materials are included.  The event is co-sponsored by the U.S. Commercial Service Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission.
