Philadelphia 100, started in 1988 by The Entrepreneurs’ Forum of Greater Philadelphia, The Philadelphia Business Journal, and the Wharton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a project that strives to identify and honor the 100 fastest growing, privately held entrepreneurial companies in the Greater Philadelphia Region.

The program has recognized some of the area’s most renowned companies during their beginning stages including Mothers’ Work, Fiberlink, Urban Outfitters, Forman Mills, Kremer Laser Eye Center, and Primavera Systems. Last year, three Pennsylvania SBDC clients including Jacobson Strategic Communications, Swain Techs, and Fun and Function, were among the top 100 winners for 2014.

Nominations for the 2015 Philadelphia 100 are now being accepted through June 12, 2015. Company headquarters must be located in one of the following counties to qualify: Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, or Bucks. Business owners can nominate their own business or another business at no cost. Nominated companies will be required to submit relevant company information, which will be used by the Wharton SBDC to rank the companies based on their percentage increase in sales from 2012 to 2014. Those companies in the top ten will receive the Top 10 Fastest Growing Company Award.

Winners will be notified in August and recognized at the gala, one of the Philadelphia’s premier business events, taking place in October 2015. For more information and nomination instructions, visit: http://www.philadelphia100.com
