Duquesne University SBDC to Host 15th Annual Entrepreneurs Growth Conference on May 10 in Pittsburgh

  • Share |

On May 10, the Duquesne University SBDC will hold its 15th Annual Entrepreneurs Growth Conference in Pittsburgh featuring more than 15 workshops, a business-building trade show and the chance to network with over 400 attendees. The theme of the 2013 event is Getting Your Business on the Fast Track to Profits, where business owners can gain strategies and techniques to fuel their business growth.

This year, the event will feature keynote speaker Will Knecht, president of Wendell August Forge, a 90-year old metal crafting company who will discuss dealing with company setbacks and finding the seeds to success. Participants will be able to hear from Knecht as he tells their story of history, tradition and the fire that could have destroyed a business and its people, but instead became a catalyst for new thinking and new opportunities as the company became a start-up once more.

Over lunch, attendees will be able to “Meet the Expert” where each table will have a special guest host. This will be a great opportunity for attendees to talk about their business with a technology expert, a marketing guru, an entrepreneur who has been on Shark Tank or even a lender.
