On May 2, 2013, the Bucknell University, Lock Haven University and Penn State Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) will host “Borrower‐Lender Matchmaking,” a networking event where banks and small businesses will have the opportunity to connect.
The event format is intended to spark lending relationships across the region through use of a “speed dating” format. Entrepreneurs and small business owners will have 15 minutes to pitch their financing needs to a variety of lenders in a series of one‐on‐one meetings. Potential borrowers will have access to free and confidential SBDC consulting and business planning assistance to prepare their pitch and materials. Lenders can then schedule follow‐up interviews with the business owners and entrepreneurs whose proposals align with their portfolio.
Attendees will be able to meet with regional commercial loan officers to discuss loans for business acquisitions, working capital, business expansion, refinancing, machinery and equipment, facility purchases, business start‐ups, and lines of credit. West Milton State Bank, Susquehanna Bank, First National Bank, M&T Bank, First Columbia Bank, and many other financial institutions will be present. The event will be held at the Country Cupboard, 101 Hafer Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837. For more information or to register, click here.
