Temple SBDC Director to Speak at Interagency Small Business Lending Forum in Philadelphia

Temple University will be the location of a half-day program, "Financing Options and Opportunities for Small Businesses in Philadelphia,” on Thursday, November 8. The event is being sponsored by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia (FRB-P), and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Administrator of National Banks, U.S. Department of the Treasury.

The aim of the program is for organizations to learn how to capitalize on opportunities that support the growth of small businesses and the creation of jobs. The program will consist of three sessions: Philadelphia Small Business, Traditional and Alternative Financing Opportunities, and Procurement Opportunities.  Following will be a Resource Table and Networking Lunch.  

Speakers and moderators include a panel of experts that will share information on financing programs and free business counseling services available to support small businesses, and information on procurement and tax issues. Eustace Kangaju, Director of the Temple University Small Business Development Center (SBDC), will be a featured speaker, as well as individuals from the sponsoring agencies, The City of Philadelphia, CJG Management Concepts, Small Business Administration, Philly VIP, SCORE, Bank of America, DelVal Business Finance Corporation, Continental Bank, FINANTA and one of their clients, Temple University, and SEPTA.
