Bucknell University SBDC Hosts Charles H. Coder Celebration of Growing Small Businesses

On October 5, 2012, the Bucknell University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) hosted the Charles H. Coder Celebration of Growing Small Businesses to highlight new business growth initiatives and entrepreneurial innovation in the community.

"The SBDC at Bucknell has a rich tradition of helping innovators and entrepreneurs turn their dreams into reality, and we are very pleased to celebrate their success," said Steven Stumbris, SBDC director. During the event, Stumbris presented three awards to members of the small business community.

Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (PA House of Rep, 108th Dist.) received the Charles H. Coder Leadership in Entrepreneurial Innovation Award in recognition of her support of the growth of small business in Pennsylvania.

Brian Vargo, owner of Vargo Outdoors received the Innovation in Product Design Award in recognition of excellence in new product development and exemplary collaboration with the College of Engineering at Bucknell.

The Bucknell University SBDC serves Juniata, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder and Union counties.
