Gannon University SBDC Hosts 5th Annual Women In Leadership Development (W.I.L.D.) Conference, Raises $5,000 for Girls Scouts of Western PA

The Gannon University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) hosted the 5th Annual Women In Leadership Development (W.I.L.D.) Conference on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, PA.   Melanie Hatch, Ph.D., dean of the College of Engineering and Business at Gannon University, opened the 2012 W.I.L.D. Conference by announcing Crystal Arlington the winner of the 2012 W.I.L.D. Legacy Award.  Arlington is the president and chief executive of Affiliated Grounds Maintenance Group (AGMG). 

The 5th Annual W.I.L.D. Conference drew more than 800 attendees and exhibitors from Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Indiana, New Jersey, Delaware and West Virginia to Erie for a day of professional development and networking.  Leadership speaker Grace Killelea, senior vice president of talent for Comcast Cable and entrepreneurship speaker Peggy Klaus, president of Klaus & Associates provided attendees with knowledge, energy and passion to pursue their goals.

The 2012 W.I.L.D. Conference beneficiary was the Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania who received $5,000 from the inaugural silent auction.
